During terms 5 and 6 class 3 will be very busy with their mini enterprise products. We will once again be visiting a local farm to see the strawberry growing system, pick fruit and make our own jam to be sold at school.

We also have a stall at a couple of local events, on the 19th May the RHS open gardens is happening throughout the UK and we are lucky enough to have been invited to sell our produce at the Umbrella Centre in Whitstable and again at the St Nicholas summer fete on the 29th June, where we will once again have a produce stall and supply cream teas with our homemade jam.

We plan to have a beach combing day, visiting Seasalter beach, collecting driftwood, pebbles and shells for our art designs along with a litter pick. As always the Mini Enterprise is enabling our students apply the use of functional skills as well as giving them work experience and sense of pride and well being.

As part of our literacy sessions we will be reading and working on "The Highway Rat" and "Monkey Puzzle"  and during our maths sessions our topic is Money.
