The Balanced System ® 

The school has recently been awarded as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the Balanced System®, which we are immensely proud of. 

‘The Balanced System® is a whole system strategic approach to supporting children and people with a whole range of needs, that has primarily come out of work in the area of speech, language and communication but has evolved to be used to consider other therapy areas for children and young people, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, CAMHS, holistic SEND support and most recently tests of concept with some adult populations.’ 

Therefore, for St. Nicholas school this means that we have been recognised for our provision to support the development of pupils' Speech, Language and Communication needs across the school. 

We will be celebrating this achievement by hosting an event in term 2 that you will all be invited to - so look out for that.
