Puffin Class

Welcome Puffin’s class at St John’s primary school. Puffin’s class is a St Nicholas Satellite Class based at:

St John’s Primary School St John's Church of England Primary School
St Johns Place
Canterbury
KENT
CT1 1BD

Puffin’s class follow the Willow pathway, teaching style and policies of St Nicholas School. We also follow St Nicholas term dates including training days. Please look on the St Nicholas website for all information and use the St Nicholas phone number and reception for all contact.
School dinners are provided from the St John’s Primary kitchen. We join the rest of St Johns children and eat our school lunch in the school dinner hall. Due to their dietary needs, we ask children to bring snacks although we do provide fruit each day. We also ask if children can bring in a water bottle. Keeping hydrated is important for children’s health and learning. Our day starts at 8.45 am and we ask if you could please arrive on time and wait for the gate to open. You can access the site from three entrances via the main office, car park gate or riverside gate. If you are late you need to go to the main entrance please. We finish at 2.45 pm because it gets busy with other parents. We will meet parents at the gate at this time. If your child travels on transport; you will need to inform the company of the change in satellite base and these times.

The children can wear St John’s Primary uniform, please ask for information on this. Alternatively, you can choose purple uniform tops and dark bottoms from any uniform supplier.

Your child will need a PE kit - shorts/joggers, T-shirt, and trainers in school every day. They will also need waterproof trousers, wellies, and a coat in school every day as we do a lot of outdoor learning in all weathers. I do not have any spare clothes so if your child might need them, please send them in.
